Job Description


Experian is looking for an Analytics Consultant to join our Delivery team in Melbourne or Sydney within our Data Quality & Targeting division. You’ll be focused on our Targeting solutions, where we own the leading consumer insights and segmentation data in Australia which is used by many leading brands and in project work conducted by the Experian analytics team for our clients. It is typically used for marketing and analytics use cases such as acquisition and retention.


As an Analytics Consultant, you’ll use your requirements gathering ability, passion for data insights and use data to tell a story that supports the client’s business strategy. Our team’s goal is to deliver results for customers and build strong relationships in the process; we care about their success.

What you’ll need to bring

  • 3-5 years’ experience with data, analytics, marketing or related technology solutions in a commercial environment
  • An understanding of common corporate IT/analytics/marketing execution environments and platforms, off-line and digital
  • Excellent questioning and business analysis techniques in order to identify and meet customer needs over the course of your analytics projects
  • Project management experience, particularly with projects involving both client and internal stakeholders
  • Marketing and business analysis experience, using data to identify and evaluate optimal strategies

What you’ll be doing

  • Data analysis, consumer insights and analytical modelling tasks
  • Project manage analytics and insights delivery projects
  • Produce written reports and charts identifying, evaluating and recommending optimal marketing and business strategies using data


More about you

  • Comfort juggling numerous priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Experience working with data and using data to tell a story that supports business strategy
  • Knowledge of some common tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, Snowflake) and languages (e.g. SQL, R, Python)
  • This role would suit someone who has 3-5 years commercial experience and is looking to step into a consultant role
  • Experience in the application of 3rd party data, and Experian data, software and services would be an advantage, but not essential
